This handmade, environmentally-friendly, brass and recycled glass beaded necklace is made with indigenously produced African beads by the Krobo tribe of Ghana West Africa. Using a centuries old method, the glass itself is derived from a variety of recycled sources including old beverage and medicine bottles that would normally fill local landfills. Instead, broken glass is crushed into powder and poured into molds of clay and baked in a unique oven. Each bead is formed and gets a one-of-a-kind shape which adds a special touch to each piece of jewelry.
